Anti-Trump Conservatives' "Lincoln Project" Supports Biden
{For those of you who would like to jump right to some of the Lincoln Project's ads, we included four of them at the bottom of this article.}
Despite the fact that, in our mind, far too many Republicans have enabled Donald Trump's behavior over the past four years (particularly those in the US Congress), there are many conservative Republicans who recognize the danger that Mr. Trump poses to our democracy and to our liberties. They are willing to put country over party, at least for this election, and to support Joe Biden for President this fall.
Some of these Patriots have banded together under the umbrella name of The Lincoln Project and have begun producing anti-Trump television advertisements, which they are airing in swing states and in swing districts, frequently on Fox News. We also have read that the group runs some of their ads on the local Fox station in Washington D.C., knowing that Mr. Trump, who spends hours each day watching the network, will see the ads and that the ads will get under his skin. Links to some of the better Lincoln Project ads can be found at the bottom of this article.
Founding members and/or key players within the Lincoln Project include the following conservatives that you may know:

- Steve Schmidt, GOP communications strategist who worked in the Presidential campaigns of George W. Bush and John McCain.
- George Conway, conservative Washington D.C. lawyer and husband of top Trump aide Kellyanne Conway.
- Rick Wilson, GOP political strategist going back at least to 1988 when he was a key player in the George H.W. Bush Presidential campaign.
- Jennifer Horn, Chairwoman of the New Hampshire Republican Party 2013-2017.
- Reed Galen, GOP political strategist who worked in the Presidential campaigns of George W. Bush and John McCain and in the gubernatorial campaign of Arnold Schwarzeneggar.
- John Weaver, GOP political strategist for scores of Republican gubernatorial and senatorial candidates.
- Sarah Lenti, veteran of four Presidential campaigns who also worked on the National Security Council in the Bush Jr. administration under Condoleezza Rice.

A recent addition to the Lincoln Project team is Anthony Scaramucci, former Trump Communications Director. During the summer of 2020, Mr. Scaramucci began to assist in fundraising for the Lincoln Project, saying: "….The economy's in shambles as a direct result of his decision making and the politicization of a health care crisis. And so for all those reasons, he's obviously incompetent and so we've got to seek his removal."
